Summer Time is Flying By!

It seems it was just a few weeks ago that school let out and we were all looking forward to a long summer...and here it is inching closer and closer to the end of July!  I was sitting here thinking how quickly this summer has gone by as I was looking through files for a particular image.  In the process, I found some that had me in awe.  I can't believe how quickly time has gone by, specifically the past 4 years (and everyone keeps telling me it only gets worse from here!)

My little Claire is already 3 and a half, and Ava is already 2!  It seems hard to believe!  After I sat there, dumbfounded after staring at the image of the three of us from 2 years ago (Daddy must have been at work), I started sifting through the hundreds of snapshots of them I have at each little stage...I really took a walk down memory lane ;)  I have chosen a couple to share, one last summer, and now one this summer.  If I have learned anything by this afternoon of reminiscing, it is that time goes by too quickly, and it seems that I am always saying "I need to spend more time in the floor playing blocks with the girls, or running around the yard chasing butterflies with them."  So get down in the floor tonight and read a book, play Lego's, or dress up a barbie or two.  You will make some special memories, and will make your son or daughter's night!

Oh, and one more thing - make sure to have your child's portrait done every once in a while...you can never go back to a stage and photograph it, you can only wish you did when you had the chance ;)
